Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte would reportedly prefer the club to sign Arturo Vidal as opposed to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen this month.
Eriksen, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been heavily linked with completing a January move to the Serie A side.
The Nerazzurri are also said to be interested in the services of Vidal, who has failed to secure a regular starting spot at Barcelona in recent times.
According to The Mirror, Conte believes that signing the Chile international would serve as a better option for Inter.
This disposition conflicts with the standpoint of CEO Giuseppe Marotta, who is said to prefer the idea of signing Eriksen.
Conte wants to add midfield reinforcements this month in order to provide more experience to an Inter side currently sitting at the top of Serie A.
