Alvaro Arebeloa has admitted that he is "glad" that Luka Modric is joining Real Madrid, even though the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has yet to sign for the club.
The Croatian is expected to swap White Hart Lane for the Santiago Bernabeu in the next few days in a deal worth around £35m.
"I'm glad he is joining Real," the Daily Mail quotes Arbeloa as saying.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with moves for Modric.
