Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that his side are in talks to sign Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Willian.
Recent reports have claimed that the Brazilian flew to London for talks on Tuesday and began a medical at White Hart Lane on Wednesday.
While he refused to give too much away about a deal, the Portuguese did confirm that discussions are ongoing over a switch.
"I can confirm there is an interest in the player and conversations [have taken place]," Villas-Boas told reporters.
"What we are building is a very, very strong side for the future, alongside massive investment in the structures of the club."
Willian is likely to cost Spurs around £30m.
