Bayern Munich are reportedly strengthening their interest in Harry Kane, as the Bundesliga champions prepare to move for the Tottenham Hotspur striker next summer.
The 29-year-old has again been in strong form for Spurs during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 10 times and registering two assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.
Kane's contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is due to expire in the summer of 2024, though, and there is again speculation surrounding his future.
Bayern are expected to be in the market for a new centre-forward at the end of the 2022-23 campaign, having failed to replace Robert Lewandowski last summer following his move to Barcelona.
Kane is believed to be the German club's leading target, and according to Sky Deutschland, the Bundesliga outfit have strengthened their interest in the England captain.
The report claims that the forward is interested in making the move to Allianz Arena, as he is determined to land some major trophies before the end of his career.
Kane is also allegedly attracted by the fresh challenge that Bayern would offer despite the fact that he is chasing down Alan Shearer's Premier League scoring record.
The Spurs forward has 192 goals in England's top flight, which has left them third on the list, behind Wayne Rooney (208) and Shearer (260).
Kane had scored in each of his last five Premier League games ahead of Wednesday's clash with Manchester United, but he drew a blank at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils running out 2-0 winners.
Manchester City were heavily linked with the centre-forward in the summer of 2021, but the Citizens were ultimately priced out of a move for the Englishman.
Kane, who will captain his country at this year's World Cup, is allegedly not in a rush to hold contract talks with Tottenham, with the attacker seriously considering his future.
Former Man United forward Teddy Sheringham has said that Red Devils should "break the bank" for Kane, as the club prepare to bring in a new striker during next summer's transfer window.
A recent report claimed that Bayern would be prepared to spend in the region of £87.5m on Kane, with senior figures at Allianz Arena pushing for his arrival.
Despite his impressive goal record, Kane is yet to win a trophy for Spurs, but he has runners-up medals from the 2014-15 and 2020-21 EFL Cup finals, in addition to the 2018-19 Champions League final. body check tags ::
