David Bentley is hoping that his move to West Ham United will produce "the perfect relationship" and rebuild his career.
The 27-year-old has moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Upton Park on a season-long loan deal and hopes the switch will provide a fresh start for him.
"I've had a few low points over the last few years and hopefully I can rebuild as West Ham are trying to do, hopefully it can be the perfect relationship," he told West Ham TV.
"I'm trying to rebuild my career like West Ham are trying to rebuild themselves as a football club, so hopefully we can go hand-in-hand."
The midfielder also hasn't ruled out a permanent switch to the Championship side.
"Of course I would definitely consider staying here," he added. "If they consider keeping me then I would definitely consider it."
Bentley could feature in the Hammers' next league game against Portsmouth on Saturday, September 10.
