Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane is reportedly close to agreeing a new contract at White Hart Lane.
Kane's existing deal with Spurs runs until the summer of June 2022, and the centre-forward currently collects around £100,000 a week.
Barcelona and Real Madrid were both linked with the England captain in the latter stages of last season, amid suggestions that the 24-year-old could be ready to move on due to Tottenham's strict wage structure.
However, according to the London Evening Standard, Kane is close to agreeing a fresh deal which will take his salary to around £200,000 a week - making him one of the best-paid English footballers in the top flight.
Kane, who will wear the armband for England at the 2018 World Cup, scored 41 goals in 48 appearances for Tottenham during the 2017-18 campaign and has managed 140 goals in 213 appearances for his London club since debuting in 2009.
