Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly bracing themselves for a string of offers for full-back Kieran Trippier following his standout displays for England at the World Cup.
The 27-year-old is believed to have emerged as a target for a number of European heavyweights after playing as big a part as anyone in the Three Lions' run to the semi-finals of the tournament this summer.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid are among the sides in the hunt for Trippier, whose valuation is said to have shot beyond the £50m mark - a record fee for an English player.
Trippier is said to have been made aware of Real's rumoured interest, but Tottenham will strongly resist any formal approach from Los Blancos and other potential suitors at home and abroad.
Spurs paid just £3.5m to sign the 13-cap international from Burnley three years ago, and he is under contract in North London until 2022.
