Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has claimed that he expects to leave Spurs before the transfer window closes.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Ireland’s friendly against Croatia, the ROI captain confirmed that he plans to move from the North London club in search of regular first-team football.
“It's probably likely that I will be going but I can't really answer where to at the moment,” he said. “There's obviously a lot of speculation but there's still a couple of weeks to go and we'll see what happens.
“I'm quite happy to go anywhere. For me, it's just about playing regular football... I'm not too bothered.”
Keane, 31, spent the latter half of last season on loan to West Ham, in a run that saw the East London side relegated to the Championship.
He has scored 91 goals in 238 appearances for Spurs, but has recently struggled to find first-team football with the club.
