Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been provided with the opportunity to sign Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa.
Despite talk of a restricted transfer budget, Jose Mourinho has already signed Joe Hart and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, while Matt Doherty is allegedly on the brink of joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, at a time when the Portuguese still requires experienced backup for Harry Kane, it appears that he has been given a chance to reunite himself with one of his former players.
According to the Daily Star, Spurs have been contacted over whether they hold an interest in Costa, who has been made available by Atletico.
While the Spain international is only regarded as backup at Wanda Metropolitano, the 31-year-old enjoyed one of the best spells of his career while working with Mourinho at Chelsea.
The report claims that Costa is open to a return to the Premier League, having previously departed in a £57m deal in September 2017.
