Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been left needing to sell Christian Eriksen if they wish to sign Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the Argentine at a time when Eriksen only has one year remaining on his contract.
However, the Denmark international has so far failed to attract any realistic offers, leaving Spurs in a period of uncertainty when it comes to how much money they can spend during the summer transfer window.
According to reports in Spain, the Premier League outfit may have to scrap their interest in Lo Celso if they cannot find a buyer for Eriksen.
Lo Celso is expected to cost in the region of €75m (£66.98m), while Spurs are currently looking to receive a similar fee for Eriksen.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has allegedly contacted Real Madrid regarding a potential deal for the 27-year-old.
