Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly preparing to lodge an improved bid for Everton forward Kevin Mirallas.
The Blues are believed to have rejected a swap deal that would have seen Aaron Lennon move in the opposite direction but Spurs are still keen to reach an agreement during the January window, according to The Mirror.
Everton reportedly rebuffed the offer on the grounds that Lennon's value does not match up with what they believe Mirallas is worth, with the Merseysiders holding out for a player-plus-cash arrangement.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be keen to boost his attacking options, with Emmanuel Adebayor linked with a January loan switch and successful bids for winter targets Danny Ings and Jay Rodriguez looking increasingly unlikely.
