PSV Eindhoven have warned Tottenham Hotspur that they risk losing out on striker Ola Toivonen if they do not make an offer in the near future.
The Swedish hitman, who netted 18 times in 33 appearances for the Dutch club last season, is thought to be one of several forwards on Harry Redknapp's transfer wishlist.
However, the Spurs boss is reportedly waiting to see how negotiations progress with Manchester City frontman Emmanuel Adebayor before making his move.
The Togo international spent last season on loan at White Hart Lane and has expressed his desire to stay with the club next year, but his wage demands may yet prove to be a stumbling block to a permanent transfer.
This concern has resulted in Spurs monitoring Toivonen, but PSV have suggested that the 25-year-old is also attracting attention from Serie A duo Fiorentina and Genoa.
Redknapp also sent scouts to watch Brazil forward Leandro Damiao and is apparently preparing a £15m bid for the Internacional striker.
