Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
Gomes made 29 appearances for Everton while on loan with the Merseyside outfit during the 2018-19 season.
Toffees boss Marco Silva recently said that he was hopeful of securing a permanent deal for the Portugal international in this summer's transfer window.
Tottenham and West Ham United have also been credited with an interest in the central midfielder, who is expected to be available for the right price.
According to the Daily Mail, though, Spurs have actually now withdrawn their interest and will instead focus on signing James Maddison from Leicester City ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Tottenham, who will face Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday evening, have not signed a first-team player since Lucas Moura's arrival from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.
