West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is reportedly planning to make a loan bid for out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor before the end of the transfer window.
The Togo international has found first-team opportunities limited under new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, and the Daily Mail claims that the Lilywhites are "braced for offers" for the ex-Arsenal forward.
It is thought that the Baggies see Adebayor as having the star quality needed to bolster their squad, and chairman Jeremy Peace is said to be willing to pay a substantial chunk of the player's £100,000-a-week wages.
Although the Spurs frontman has struggled to find form this season, scoring just twice in 15 appearances, Pulis is believed to view Adebayor as a perfect fit for his team and hopes to convince the striker to leave London.
The 30-year-old has also been linked with a move to Roma.
