Tottenham Hotspur defender DeAndre Yedlin will reportedly undergo a medical on Tyneside today ahead of his proposed move to Newcastle United.
The 23-year-old looks set to return to the North-East having spent last season on loan with Newcastle's fierce rivals Sunderland.
Yedlin finds himself behind Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier in the pecking order at White Hart Lane and is expected to leave the club on a permanent basis this summer.
The United States international joined Spurs in 2014, but has failed to break into the first team, making just one senior appearance for the club.
His arrival at St James' Park could pave the way for Daryl Janmaat to leave the Magpies after reports linked him with a move to either West Ham United or Watford.
