Charlie Adam's 65-yard goal: Twitter reacts

Sports Mole takes a look at the reaction on Twitter to Charlie Adam's 65-yard goal against Chelsea.

Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois is regarded to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but even his best efforts could not prevent Charlie Adam from scoring from 65 yards out at Stamford Bridge yesterday evening.

Spotting the Belgian off his line, the Stoke City midfielder decided to go for goal from inside his own half.

His boldness was rewarded when, despite getting a hand on the ball as it sailed over his head, Courtois could only help it into the net.

It was an effort that Glenn Hoddle suggested was "the goal of the century" and, unsurprisingly, it was a big topic among other footballers past and present on Twitter. Here, Sports Mole picks out some of the best reaction.
