Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is hopeful that Peter Odemwingie will play for the team before the end of the season after returning to full training.
The 33-year-old has been on the treatment table for the last eight months due to knee surgery, and Hughes wishes that he had had the forward's services for the majority of the campaign.
"It's great to have him back because it was a big miss to lose him so early in the season," Hughes told reporters.
"After he signed last year he made a huge impact on the team and we could have done with him on more occasions this year. Now it' s a case of getting him up to speed and hopefully I can get him on the pitch before the end of the season."
The Potters, who are 10th in the table, have six games left to play.
