The Football Association has charged Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam with violent conduct.
The charge relates to an altercation involving Adam and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud during Saturday's 1-0 win for Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
The incident was not seen by the match officials at the time, but a three-man panel have deemed it to be a sending-off offence.
Adam has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge.
