Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that midfielder Charlie Adam is likely to feature this weekend, despite having a broken nose.
The Scotsman suffered the injury in training, but is expected to wear a protective mask for Saturday's clash against Newcastle United at the Britannia.
"Charlie got a nasty bang in a training game," Hughes told reporters. "He went for a ball and fallen, unfortunately, and collided with young keeper Dan Bachmann and landed on his boot.
"I think he's broken it in a number of places, but we hope to get some protection for him and then he'll have an operation on Monday."
Stoke are 10th in the Premier League table with five games left to play.
