Danny Higginbotham has admitted that he is unsure whether he will be at Stoke City for the start of this season.
The defender fell out of favour at the Britannia Stadium last season and joined Nottingham Forest for a five-month loan spell in January and he concedes that Potters boss Tony Pulis will have the final say over his future.
Higginbotham told BBC Radio Stoke: "I don't know [about the future], it's completely up to the manager.
"He's made some very good decisions over the years. Whatever his plans are for myself I'll accept it."
"The most important thing for me is to have a good pre-season and get myself as fit as possible."
The 33-year-old defender joined Stoke from Sunderland in 2008.
