Mark Hughes has warned Stoke City supporters not to expect too much from Bojan Krkic in the early stages of his career at the Britannia Stadium
Expectations are high after the former Barcelona starlet enjoyed a dazzling pre-season campaign with the Potters, scoring three times.
Although Hughes admits that the Spaniard is an "exceptional" talent, the Stoke boss urges patience as Bojan settles into his new surroundings.
"He has done very well in pre-season," he told reporters. "He is a talented boy and everyone can see the threat he carries. Getting him here is a real coup for us, there is no doubt about that."
"We will have to be patient though because he is coming into a new league - one of which he hasn't been exposed to before.
"He will be a real impact player for us though. He is used to winning games, and he is a big-game player in many regards. I have seen enough already to know that we have an exceptionally talented young player."
The 23-year-old could make his competitive City debut in Saturday's visit of Aston Villa in their Premier League curtain raiser.
