Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has heaped praise on his side after they earned an impressive 2-0 win against Manchester City.
Two early goals from Marko Arnautovic proved enough for the home side to ease to victory at the Britannia Stadium, and Hughes was delighted with the "high-level performance" that his players put in on Saturday afternoon.
The 52-year-old told BT Sport: "It was a great performance by the guys. You can talk about formations and tactics but first and foremost, the players have to go out there and perform and that is what they did.
"To a man, everyone put in a high-level performance and as a consequence of that, we are able to win a Premier League game against the leaders, so the players deserve great credit."
Stoke have moved up to ninth place in the Premier League table ahead of the remainder of Saturday's fixtures.
