Stoke City manager Mark Hughes believes that his side can show how much they have improved when they take on Southampton at the Britannia on Saturday.
The Potters have not won a game in their last four Premier League fixtures, but they reside 10th in the league table with six games left to play.
Southampton were tipped as early contenders for a Champions League spot but they sit sixth in the standings, five points adrift of fourth.
"From our point of view I think it's a good opportunity to show where we are," Hughes told reporters. "They have had a good season and quite rightly so they've received a lot of plaudits.
"We've probably been somewhat under the radar in comparison but I think it's an opportunity for us to show how far we've come as well."
Stoke could potentially move above West Ham United into ninth with a win tomorrow.
