Stoke City striker Michael Owen will not be punished by the Football Association for his actions during his side's 1-0 defeat against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
The former England international reacted angrily to a challenge by Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta and appeared to aim a punch in his direction.
However, referee Chris Foy has informed the FA that he saw the incident and felt that it did not warrant a red or yellow card. As a result, the governing body will now not investigate the incident any further.
Owen was making just his seventh appearance for the Potters at the Emirates Stadium since his arrival on a free transfer last September.
