Former Barcelona defender Marc Muniesa reveals that he wants more regular first-team football for Stoke City.
Muniesa scored twice against Sunderland in Stoke's League Cup win on Tuesday, his first goals since joining the Potters in 2013 after he was released by the Catalan giants.
"Yes, I'm desperate to play," the defender told the Stoke Sentinel.
"I always train looking to play every weekend, but I know I have to take my opportunities when I get them in the Capital One Cup or if I come on in the final few minutes as a substitute.
"It's a decision for Mark Hughes, of course. Every player has to play well if they want an opportunity at the weekends."
Stoke face Newcastle United next Monday.
