Stoke City goalkeeper Carlo Nash has revealed that he rejected several offers from foreign clubs before extending his stay at the Britannia Stadium.
The 38-year-old, who is behind stoppers Asmir Begovic and Thomas Sorensen in the Potters pecking order, signed a new one-year contract yesterday.
He told The Sentinel: "I had a few possible alternatives to move abroad, but they weren't quite right for me.
"In the forefront of my mind I wanted to go somewhere where I'd be playing more, but it didn't materialise in the end.
"I'm settled here and love the club, everything about the place, and the fans are great, so I'm certainly happy here."
Nash last featured for the Potters first team in a League Cup tie in August 2010.
