Stoke City striker Michael Owen has revealed that he suffered no setbacks to a recent hamstring injury during a friendly encounter with Preston North End this afternoon.
The former England international has spent a large amount of time on the sidelines with a series of medical complaints since he joined the Potters on a free transfer from Manchester United in September.
However, his 70-minute outing against Preston has resulted in speculation that he could be included in the Stoke squad that is due to take on Everton at the weekend.
"Just played 70 minutes in a behind closed doors game against Preston. Came through unscathed," he wrote on Twitter.
Owen has made a total of four appearances for Stoke.
