Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has admitted that the club will "look after" Jermaine Pennant after the winger was arrested for alleged assault.
The 29-year-old has been accused of assaulting a woman in a nightclub in Manchester just hours before he crashed his white BMW into an Audi, which resulted in a drink-driving charge.
"We've taken the approach as a club we will look after him," said Pulis. "We will deal with it in house. I want to keep Pennant, he has another year of his contract."
Despite facing potential jail time, the former Liverpool player could feature for the Potters against Queens Park Rangers this Sunday.
