Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has thanked the travelling supporters of Stoke City for giving him "wonderful reception" at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Pulis, who was sacked by Stoke in May, was roundly applauded by Potters fans before and after Palace's 1-0 win over his former club.
"It was a wonderful reception from the Stoke supporters and I thank them very much," Pulis told BBC Sport. "We had a wonderful 10 years together.
"My wife and daughters were Stoke supporters for 10 years so it was difficult for everybody but the main thing was the three points and I hope and pray to be able to go back to Stoke with Palace next season."
Pulis took charge of 464 games during two spells as Stoke boss. His time at the Britannia Stadium saw the club win promotion to the Premier League and reach the final of the 2011 FA Cup.
