Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross has insisted that the Potters will put up a fight against Bolton Wanderers on Sunday, despite being secure in the Premier League table.
The Trotters could join Wolverhampton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers in the relegation drop this weekend, but Shawcross has warned Owen Coyle's side that Stoke are "desperate" for three points.
"There's a lot on the game for us as well," the Daily Star quotes Shawcross as saying. "We are professional footballers and we always want to win games.
"But we also want to equal our best points tally in the Premier League. However desperate they are for three points, we are even more so."
Stoke could launch up to 11th place of they defeat Bolton.
