Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has insisted that the club are not taking the recent success and stay in the Premier League "for granted".
As such, Pulis said that the club's target is still to get the 40 points that has historically guaranteed survival in the top flight.
"We still think we need to get the 40 points," the club's Twitter account quotes Pulis as saying. "Once we get there, we'll sit down and talk about what we're trying to achieve.
"Every year we stay in the Premier League is a massive, massive result. You should never take things for granted in this league.
"To stay in the Premier League this year is even more important because of the finances coming in next season."
Stoke take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
