Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross believes that his side finally got the breaks they deserved in their 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.
A Peter Crouch strike along with a Jonathan Walters penalty gave the Potters a much needed win to move them six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
"Luck has not been on our side over the past few weeks, but it was in this game and that was one of the major differences," Shawcross told the club's official website.
"We feel that we've played better than the results have shown, but we haven't been getting the breaks; things just haven't fallen for us.
"We've been on a bad run and a lot has been made of it. Hopefully though, this win has given us the lift we needed for the final few games."
Stoke are 15th in the Premier League with four games to play this season.
