Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross has agreed terms on a new long-term contract at the club.
The deal will keep Shawcross at Stoke for the next five-and-a-half years, with the contract expiring in the summer of 2018.
Shawcross has recently been linked with a move to Manchester City but has opted to commit his future to Tony Pulis's side.
"It's fantastic for us as a football club," Sky Sports News quotes Pulis as saying. "We're really, really pleased to have him.
"He's been the bedrock of what we've been trying to do over the past five or six years and we're really pleased that he's finally agreed."
Shawcross joined Stoke in 2007 and has made more than 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.
