Stoke City have reportedly offered Newcastle United £10m for centre-forward Dwight Gayle.
Gayle, 27, scored six Premier League goals in 35 appearances for Newcastle during the 2017-18 campaign.
The Magpies are believed to be in the market for a new striker this summer, however, and Gayle could be made surplus to requirements depending on what occurs at St James' Park.
According to the Daily Mail, Stoke have launched a £10m offer for the striker as the Potters look to put together a team capable of securing an immediate return to the Premier League.
Gayle scored 13 Championship goals for Peterborough United during the 2012-13 season, and hit 23 goals in the second tier for Newcastle during the club's 2016-17 campaign.
