Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson has revealed that he expects to sign a new contract at the club.
The 29-year-old, who has spent his entire professional career with the Potters, is due to be a free agent in the summer.
However, Wilkinson is confident that a fresh one-year contract can be agreed between the two parties.
"I have been offered it. It's positive and it's ongoing at the minute," he told The Sentinel. "But obviously this is a club I love and I want to stay at, so hopefully we can get it sorted as soon as possible.
"It is my club and it would be hard for me to leave. Obviously I want to play games and I feel I can do that this season."
Wilkinson has made five appearances in all competitions for Stoke during the current campaign.
