Sunderland's John O'Shea has been rated as doubtful for the Republic of Ireland's upcoming Euro 2012 play-off against Estonia.
The 30-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, a complaint he has already suffered from this season.
O'Shea is due to have a scan on the problem but Black Cats manager Steve Bruce is not overly optimistic.
"It is a concern because it is the same one he did [on the club's pre-season tour of] Germany, said the boss.
"It's the same sort of thing he has done lifting his leg up."
The versatile defender joined Sunderland during the summer from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
