Sunderland defender John O'Shea has claimed that their 2-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers hands Bradford City a big boost ahead of their FA Cup tie.
The Black Cats became the first home team to lose to QPR in the Premier League this season on Tuesday night, and O'Shea believes the below-par performance will give confidence to the League One side as they prepare for Sunday's fifth-round clash.
"I'm sure Bradford will enjoy it when they look at the DVD of the game and how we started it," the Sunderland captain told reporters.
"They'll take plenty of encouragement from it. We have to react very quickly and if we beat Bradford, that's a start."
Bradford set up the tie with the Black Cats by beating Chelsea 4-2 in the previous round.
