Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is confident that his team will pick up points if they can repeat their performance against Manchester City last time out.
The Black Cats remained in the relegation zone after losing 1-0 to Man City on Tuesday, but Allardyce was encouraged by his team's display at the Stadium of Light.
Next up for the strugglers is a trip to Liverpool this weekend, with Jurgen Klopp's side also currently low on confidence.
"The performance was there against Manchester City but there was disappointment because we didn't take anything from the game but if we continue to play to that level, we will start to pick up points," Allardyce told reporters.
Sunderland have only collected 19 points from their 24 league games this season, which has left them in 19th spot in the table.
