Jozy Altidore has expressed his determination to become an instant hit with the Toronto supporters.
The American international completed his switch to the MLS side on Friday in a swap deal that saw Jermain Defoe join Sunderland.
Having scored just three goals during his 18-month stint in the Premier League, Altidore has insisted that he can still "help the team get better".
"I want to instantly show the fans that I'm here for a reason. I'm here to help the team get better," he told reporters.
"I'm very hungry to succeed. I wouldn't have come here for any other reason."
The 25-year-old scored 15 goals during his previous spell in the MLS with the New York Red Bulls between 2006 and 2008.
