Sunderland's on-loan striker Nicklas Bendtner was reportedly axed for the final-day clash with Manchester United for turning up late for the team bus.
The 24-year-old joined Sunderland on loan from Arsenal last summer, and has scored eight goals during his stint.
Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill does not want the Danish international to return, according to The Mirror, and therefore the striker will reportedly seek a fresh start at Arsenal.
Bendtner has 46 international caps to his name.
