Besiktas have reportedly identified former Sunderland boss Steve Bruce as the man to take the reins at the Turkish club.
The manager, who was relieved of his duties by Sunderland in November, is among the candidates being considered by a consortium planning to buy Besiktas, according to the Daily Mail.
Bruce, who has also helmed Wigan Athletic, is understood to be actively seeking a return to management.
Besiktas are currently fourth in the Turkish Super Lig.
