The Football Association has fined Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio £8,000 after the Italian accepted a charge of improper conduct.
Di Canio was sanctioned for confronting referee Martin Atkinson during his side's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 45-year-old argued with the official for controversially disallowing the Black Cats a goal at the Stadium of Light.
"Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has been fined the standard penalty of £8,000 after he admitted an FA misconduct charge in relation to his behaviour during his side's game against Arsenal on Saturday 14 September 2013," read an official FA statement.
Sunderland are back in action on Saturday when they travel to West Bromwich Albion.
