Sunderland forward Steven Fletcher has praised the display of his teammates following their 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace.
The Black Cats recovered from suffering defeats in their previous two Premier League matches to pick up their first away win of the season and move out of the relegation zone.
"It was a great performance from us with the past two games we had," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "We are glad we got the three points and put in the performance as well. I had three chances and took two of them so I am happy with that.
"Luck has not been going our way so when the own goal went in the heads went down and Palace got on top but we picked up again. The manager will be delighted. Everyone wanted a reaction. We have a massive game next week [against Everton] so we will go into that with confidence."
Sunderland's victory has lifted them up to 15th in the Premier League table.
