Norwich City manager Chris Hughton believes that "reckless" Wes Brown deserved to be sent off in the 0-0 draw with Sunderland this afternoon.
The former Manchester United defender was dismissed in stoppage time for a challenge on Ricky van Wolfswinkel at the Stadium of Light.
Although Hughton admits that he is unsure over the level of contact in the tackle, the former Newcastle United boss believes the right decision was made by referee Martin Atkinson.
He told Sky Sports News: "I'm not sure how much contact was made, but from where I was it looked to be a correct decision, and was certainly reckless."
Hughton's men host Fulham at Carrow Road on Boxing Day.
