Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has hailed the enthusiasm of boss Paolo Di Canio ahead of the Italian's first full season in charge of the Black Cats.
Di Canio replaced Martin O'Neill at the Stadium of Light last season and guided his team to Premier League safety.
Johnson told the club's official website: "He's so enthusiastic and he just loves the game; I think every minute of the day he's talking about the game or watching videos of games.
"He still likes getting involved and having a kick-around which is good."
Sunderland begin the new season at home to Fulham on August 17.
