Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has admitted that he is "delighted" with the point that his side earned during Sunday's Wear-Tyne derby against Newcastle United.
A late Demba Ba own goal secured a share of the spoils for the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light after Yohan Cabaye had given the hosts a second-minute lead.
"I'm delighted we came away with something from the game and that we didn't get beaten," O'Neill told the club's official website.
"In the final third we were quite clumsy, we could have done better and we should have created a few more opportunities."
Sunderland remain 14th in the Premier League table following Sunday's draw against their local rivals.
