Sunderland centre-back John O'Shea has said that his side know how to battle, after they drew 1-1 at Hull City tonight.
Dame N'Doye gave Hull the lead early on, but Jack Rodwell's 77th-minute equaliser earned the North-East side a valuable point in their fight against relegation.
O'Shea told BBC Sport: "There was very little in the game. Both teams went for the win and we had a couple of good chances to nick it. We showed great spirit and that's what we will need. We have stopped the rot now, but look, we know we have to battle."
Sunderland next face Aston Villa next weekend.
