Tony Pulis has admitted his confusion over the offside rule following West Bromwich Albion's 0-0 draw with Sunderland this afternoon.
Adam Johnson seemed to have given Sunderland the lead in the first half, but the assistant referee raised his flag for offside.
After the game, Pulis told BBC Sport that, although he thought Jermain Defoe was interfering with play at the time, he could not be sure of the rules.
He said: "Jermain Defoe is offside and he's interfering with play. He couldn't have given it for Johnson, because he's level, but I don't know the offside rule, to put it bluntly."
Pulis has lost just once since taking charge of the Baggies on January 1.
