Sunderland midfielder Yann M'Vila has urged his teammates to give the club's fans something to cheer when they play Swansea City this weekend.
The Black Cats remain without a point in the Premier League this season after losing their opening two games of the campaign.
With the Swans making the trip to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, M'Vila is eager to improve the mood at the club with a win.
"They've seen us concede too many goals in the last two matches," he told Sunderland's official website. "We need to put in a performance for the supporters because they're our family.
"For me, we made our own problems as a team. There were too many mistakes and that gave the other team the chance to score. We had a very good meeting on Sunday, and the coach stressed that above all else, we need to be defensively solid before we attack."
M'Vila joined Sunderland on a season-long loan from Rubin Kazan earlier this summer.
