Danny Graham has said that he hopes Sunderland's win over Everton in the Premier League will give the team enough "momentum" to avoid relegation from the top flight.
The Black Cats secured a 2-0 win at Goodison Park this afternoon, lifting the side up to 14th in the table, two points clear of the drop zone.
The striker, whose first goal for the club put Sunderland ahead, told BBC Sport: "It has been a long time, a frustrating couple of years at the football club. We have to see how results go, we have put the pressure on everyone else. We need top focus on next week's game. The momentum is there and we need to build on it."
Sunderland host Leicester City in their penultimate match of the season next time out.
